                              IBM's Watson aims to make hospital stays more enjoyable 

• This supercomputer is designed to make major hospital visits less frightful to patients
• IBM has a 3 year partnership with Alder Hey Children's Hospital in the UK to analyze patient care
• IBM has been testing this supercomputer since 2011 by assisting doctors in making clinical decisions 
• Now its next task is to turn Alder Hey into a "cognitive hospital" which delivers insight about the patient experience 
• In the future IBM hopes to have more applications including matching patients to clinical studies and help manage chronic illness through educational applications
