Ms. Garvin has a very strict grading policy.http://wood-ridge.schoolwires.net/Page/3199 All of our projects and DBQ's have a stapled rubric on the back. 40% of our grade is summative assessments. 10% is homework. Another 10% is formative assessments. Lastly 40% is performance-based assessments. In her class, we watch history documentaries and YouTube videos of people traveling around the world. They are very interesting to watch, I get so excited when we watch them!

We use the chrome books in Ms. Gavin's class sometimes. We research for our DBQ's when we have time in class. Also if we have a project like a web quest for example, we use the computers to do it. When we take notes, Ms. Garvin makes slides and we take notes from the projector. It is much easier then Ms. Garvin writing the notes on the board. The notes are easier to read because she can just enlarge it if we can not see it. Chrome books and the projector help my class a lot in world history. Ms. Garvin is determined for her students to not only pass, but to enjoy learning about history!
